Thanks linda :) I always think the skin on their feet looks a bit lizard like. It's true I didn't have too many options for photo's, doesn't help when someone has pulled the plug out of the lake. Probably more water in that bath you photographed the other day :rofl:

Is it a breeding thing, or just an age thing that gives them the red beak?

I think it's a juvenile from this year PB, just a hint of red showing.

Oh yes, now I remember: Coots have yellow legs, some red on their yellow beak and they walk really goofy! 😄
