See lots on my walks. Bit early for flowers though.

Don't know what they are called, but have a very good show of deep blue flowers in the front of the house. I dug up some roots a few years back because I liked the flowers colour.

Noticed fresh green shoots in the lawn this morning and thought that nice. But when I had a closer look, was not grass or weeds but pyracantha. Now I don't know if they are seeded berries or migrating roots that are throwing up shoots. Looked around the internet and cant find anything about migrating shoots. So I asked a question on a website that sell them and how to get rid of them. When I bought the young plants several years ago there was nothing about this occurring.

It has to be birds spreading the seeds. Blackbirds love the berries and quite happily leave little thankyous while visiting.

Coincidentally I was trying to clear a few weeds out of my pea gravel today and found what could have been a pyrowatsit seedling. They don't need much encouragement it seems.

I dug one out of the grass the other day. And to be honest, the root was too well established to be a seedling Was quite a long one that eventually broke off. And quite thick.

My bluebells are starting to bloom. A little early I think.
Also the blossom on my plum tree is coming out. That is usually the signal for frosty nights but not so far. :)
