Yes I did. But there are more than I can eat. My family doesn't like them because they are fairly small and loaded with pips. :(

Where have all the Blackbirds gone. In winters past 4-6 has been the daily norm but this year for most of the time it's 1 or 2 .Even the very cold weather didn't bring any more.

I've seen my first fledgling blackbird for this year today. It was chasing it's dad around making pitiful squeaking noises in an effort to get fed. :)

Not seen any here yet, but see adults collecting food for them in the garden.

I think my blackbirds are going off for their summer moult. :blackbird: I haven't seen one for a couple of days and usually they're a constant presence.

I have seen one in the last 48 hours. He must have missed the bus.

The blackbirds here seem to like to try various baths - we have a large bowl pond and a big pot with yellow flag in, as well as the bird baths. This year I put a little solar fountain in the pond near the edge, as some of the sparrows go in there. They've ignored it so far, but one of the female blackbirds loves to stand under it and get showered.
