I know about chasing Marbled Whites from previous years. If they find a flower with nice nectar they will tarry a while. :butterfly:
Only a couple of Butterflies in the garden so far this week. :(

Lots of white butterflies today together with quite a few little gingery coloured ones which are quite unusual to me. Suspect it's the flourishing buddleia which is the cause.

The little gingery ones could be skippers of which there are a few variations.

Actually I googled to see if I could find the little gingery ones (LGO), and I thought that the skipper picture was exactly the colour. Well well, how lovely :D

Spoke to soon. Seen a peacock on my walk, plus a few holly blues and a comma, all fluttering about.

Apart from the ubiquitous whites I have not seen any of the more colourful species for a few weeks. I'm hoping the current warm spell will approve the situation.
