Thank you jacksparrow. The wren was in my garden. Today there were two of them. The GW was over the village, and managed to get quite close. The yellow on them is quite amazing.

That's good, Willpar - very smooth camera work whilst following the little wren.
The vinca flower was very interesting: a prime example of the Fibonacci numbers at work in Nature .
The numbers of fungi still around just goes to show how mild it's been - hen-in-the-woods still flourishing !!
The pot marigolds: can't decide whether they're 2019 crop, or the new 2020 blooming already . With this season, nothing would surprise me.
Fascinating as usual.

Thank you placi, I was struggling to get anything up to Christmas day, and then things gradually fell into place, so by new years eve I had some material to use.

Thank you jacksparrow. The wren was near my front door, so was only a couple of metres away. Had to look up dabchick, I did have a feeling it was for Little Grebe, but looked it up just in case. Never heard that name before though. It seem to spend more time under the water than on it. There were at least 4 that I could see, but that one was the nearest.

Great start to 2020 !
Loved the wren sequence, and the view at 5.33 - should be on a postcard .
The ivy berries are waaay ahead of mine which are still as green as grass. Surprised at the catkins too.

Thank you placi. Took the bus down to the lakes to see what was about. Was nice and calm. Lake is as full as I have ever seen it so the beach was under water. Not as many birds there as I thought there may be. Was a bit surprised to see the early primrose, and the lamb in the beginning.
