Just like to say for me hedgehogs must of become very rare, I’ve not seen one sine I was a child and I’m now 54, As a kid I can remember constantly seeing them all the time.

Yes it is a dire shame Jay. Here where i live is a small stronghold and see and feed them all the time when not hibernating. This one has come out early, but with a cold snap forecast, may decide to go back to bed. Have been feeding them for a number of years now and the population is building nicely, even with a badger sett down in the woods. Have only seen a badger a few times. It came three nights in a row, and i scared it off. Never came back after that.

It's the same old adage, innit ?? "Feed 'em and you'll get 'em".
That's why Willpar has half the total population and is broke  :)

It will be fun for you to find out if any Hogs are visiting your new home. They leave a very distinct calling card if they come your way or you may even be lucky enough to see one if you venture out into the garden after dark. They are not quiet visitors so it is very likely you'll hear them before you get a sighting. :hedgehog:

Hope so, Willpar, unless maybe your lone dinner guest is trying to put on weight ?
Either way, it's good to know :).
