Top marks PlaciPlacido wrote:Yesterday morning actually- a song thrush arrived just after I'd put out a fresh helping. It couldn't believe its luck !! Stayed about 5 mins, gobbling up mainly the suet pellets.
and then came again after about 10 mins and began again.
Haven't seen it since.

Re: WHAT I SAW TODAY.....
Talking of young Collared Doves I had one hit my patio door this afternoon with an almighty thump. It remained stood on my patio for over an hour looking very stunned(unsurprisingly). I was at the point of seeing if it was unable to fly when it flew up into the Rowan where it remained for about 45 minutes before flying off.

What unfortunate juxtapositioning
.
Very sorry to hear about your collie, Jacksparrow, always a horrible sound, the soggy thump.
Glad it was an eventual happy ending.

No sign of said Collie or any carcass in the garden toady so I am very hopeful.Placido wrote:What unfortunate juxtapositioning.
