Many bird food products are now being produced in China, as they are very cheap to produce and import. China certainly will not be growing native fruits or encouraging native insects to fill their suet products, so worth checking out the contents of products and the quality measures in place.

Mmm, so that's most likely the case with these.

They came in one of those really thin polythene bags that tear if you look at them the wrong way inside two (doubled up to make the size right) strong boxes for Monsanto Roundup ProVantage 4x5L

There could be a sticker on the bag but I'd have to wait until I used quite a few more to find it as they are so tightly packed in the box - the bag would break if I tried to lift it out.

The insects are probably those centipedes with wellie boots on.

Last night I ordered a 3 kg refill through Amazon - it was delivered at 11 am this morn .
It was £8.54, delivered.

I get my dried mealworms and suet pellets from the same company. Every time I shop I get points. I had 3,000 + points. I traded in 3,000 of them and got £10 off my order of mealworms.

It's not an offer but it's a free gift - mdc-pet supplies on eBay have very kindly included a F.G. with my current order of 3kg mixed garden bird seed.
It's, I estimate, 24 little suet balls. They're a little over 1 inch in diam.

Didn't say anything on the website but there they are, and to avoid confusion there's a label saying "Free Gift" !!!
Laff ?!?!?!

Makes me mad, that: "Free Gift" - aren't all gifts free - you wouldn't expect to pay for a gift, would you

How very, very profound, Nuthatch !! Never thought of that one .
Maybe a 'Free Unsolicited Present' (FUP), a 'Free Unasked For Thingy' (FUFT), or a 'Free Unexpected Surprise' (FUS).
Whatever, they're very welcome :).

If anyone has B&M store nearby its worth checking if the have the same offer as my local store, 12.6kg suet pellets for £9.99. I bought suet pellets from them before and birds liked them, I guess these are the same, haven't tried them yet :)
