Re: Bird Food Offers
I was just checking to see if my Maltby's order was on it's way and on my email from ebay it had a "customers also bought this".
I wish I'd seen that before as I could have saved a few quid and had more as the offer was for 3kg of suet pellets for £8

I've not ordered from them, but that looks a rather good deal

Re: Bird Food Offers
Crikey. Good tip JooMoo. Just checked out the rest of their range and the prices are very competitive indeed. I'll have a good look later.
Re: Bird Food Offers
I did compare it to somewhere else (Twootz?) and if you wanted 12kg of suet pellets you can get a much better price per kilo rate.
But 12KG!!!! That's a big bag. I don't love my birds THAT much

Bought Mealworm Suet Pellets is a local shop the other day - 500G - £1.00. 3Kg will cost £6.00. They are exactly the same make as the ones highlighted - Dawn Chorus. I can also get Suet Blocks - mealworm and berry for £1.00 each. The birds love them all.JooMoo wrote:I was just checking to see if my Maltby's order was on it's way and on my email from ebay it had a "customers also bought this".

I just did a quick google shopping on mealworm suet pellets and didn't find anything that good.

Re: Bird Food Offers
Well I received my bag of mealworms on Wednesday, but no suet pellets.
I waited to see if they were delivered Thursday, nope.
I emailed Maltbys and they said they were miffed at the courier as they do things as excellent as possible their end.
Still nothing today.
I'd peeked in the bag in case there were two lots of things in there, but the mealies were loose in the bag, so there was obviously no pellets in there. I must have had a hunch, so I weighed the bag. I'd ordered 2.5kg, but the bag was more than 3kg (that's all my scale goes up to as I bought it for weighing hogs )
So I deduced that they'd given me 5kg of mealies instead of 3 lots of 2.5.
Bargain for me
But I didn't want that many. It took me 10 weeks to get through the last 3kg I bought. Still, everyone loves the worms.
I informed them of my guess, so I'll see what they say tomorrow.

Nor me
I meant 2 lots of 2.5 (I shouldn't have bothered rounding anyway as it was actually 2.5+ 2.25)
