Unknown female has been back on the nest. They got a better view of her darvic ring and number. Images were sent to Roy Dennis Foundation. They await identification.

Be interesting to know about it when it is identified.

Still no news from the Roy Dennis Foundation as to the identity of the mystery female at Loch Arkaig. Louis appears to have settled on another tree nest with another female. Looks like we may not have a family nest on camera this year .

Louls is cuddled up with another female on another nest. Think we will hear the patter of tiny talons in the future. Nothing on the camera tree so looks like no babies in camera this year, Ah well, these thing happen. Fortunately there are three eggs on each of the other two nests I am watching so all is not lost.

I see an osprey platform has been cut down with a chainsaw in Wales. Nest had one egg in it. Police investigating.

Iollo Williams was on Breakfast TV saying that no-one had any idea why it had been done or who did it.

Raptors have been routinely and regularly killed by gamebird shooting interests all the time, and all the time they get away with the crime. Setting the precedent is what it is me thinks. Anyone can do any wildlife crime and expect to get away with it, and they most likely do. Sad state of affairs.

Mrs G at Glaslyn is lying low in the nest cup and looking miserable in the rain.

NCO at Loch of the Lowes is hunkered down in the nest cup - rain here too. She is quite alert as she is looking around taking in quite a bit.

The whole country must be wet as there is rain at Loch Arkaig as well.
