Monkey, the missus, young Rico, and baby Ronnie (in the gutter) - through the kitchen window so not great photos. Ronnie is the last born so is constantly squawking to be fed when they're outside scoffing peanuts, the neighbours must love me!

Very nice, have a rookery here where I live. The numbers though have taken a hit these past years.

Oh no Willpar, that's a real shame. I hope the numbers pick up soon and it's just a natural cycle.
Rooks are so prehistoric looking aren't they? I'm very fond of this little family.

There are now 3 babies, and I learned that rooks only have one clutch a year, laying four or five eggs. I'd never really learned much about them before.
They're getting more used to me coming outside and flinging peanuts on to the lawn, Monkey comes to within about ten foot of me now, and when I shout him out the kitchen window he'll march off to look round the corner where the door is.
Soon they'll be sitting on my shoulders and fending off my mortal enemies.
