My numbers have increased but not by a huge amount. I have been struggling to keep making water available for them. I managed to get the ground water bowl ice free and within minutes there were two starling there.........to take a bath :freezing:

The feeders have been quite busy today especially the sunflower hearts. Four Greenfinches were present today which is the highest count for 5 years.

Well done with the greenfinches. could do with some extra species here, but have picked up a couple of extra blackbirds by the looks of it.

Have always had a couple of Greenfinches on the feeders, but yesterday like Jacksparrow I had four. My highest count ever. There are two Nuthatches coming in. Top top it all two Robins are trying to be boss of the bird table. Still my commonest feeders are the Goldfinches.

The colder weather has brought the birds back into the garden. All the feeders quite busy. :nod:

The continuing dry weather has meant there has been a heavy demand for fresh water. The starlings have been a constant presence both for bathing and drinking also the other birds have been grabbing the chance while the starlings are elsewhere. :nod:

Ordered my first batch of live mealworms today, to start winter feeding from November through till April next year. Got the large mini that way they will grow and last longer hopefully. Wonder if the pied wagtails will stay longer this time around. Plan to put some in the caged hanging feeder for the robin and maybe blackcaps. Did have a wren checking out the feeder last year.

This year I have a couple. Of bird feeding stations in the. Back garden with a mix of seed and suet.

This year I have also replaced my back garden nest box with one with a wifi camera in. Hopefully if we get visitors again ke we had the nesting blue tits I can share the video across my social media platforms.
