I occasionally get Nuthatch, GSP and Siskins coming to the feeders. At the moment they are coming several times a day. I feel lucky.
GSP...?????
I used to get Siskins but I have not seen one for about 5 years. I have recorded one Nuthatch and I think that one had got lost. :)

I happen to be driving in the country, near few farms last week and at one point, not too far from this country lane I was driving on, I saw a movement of something large on the ground in this field  . The next second I see these massive wings and a bird taking off  .
It was a red kite! :jawdrop: . Lucky I didn't end up in a ditch by the road, I was so shocked
To see one so close and near the ground is just breathtaking. I only ever see them high in the air. What an experience it was :woohoo:

Red Kites are similar in size to Buzzards perhaps a little smaller. When we see them circling up in the sky it is difficult to get a true appraisal of their size. Kites are still an exciting spot for me but they are getting more common.

Just been watching a sparrowhawk on my hedge. Never got anything this time. Not seen one here in a while.

A pair of Jackdaws searching for nesting materials in the back garden today. In past years my front garden has been a happy hunting ground for Jackdaw's bedding materials but all that has changed now my neighbour has cut down his tree which dropped all manner of bits on my drive. :(

I see Magpies breaking off branches from the tree next to my house, but I also left all sorts of twigs and leaves in my garden.
