I had a definite sighting of a fledgling Robin. The first this year. :)
That's so good to hear Jack, I haven't seen any this year, and even my adult Robin is not around much. I have no idea what happened

On another note ... while I was cleaning under the shrub where I throw some food for birds, I saw this tiny skull :faint: , which appears to be very old and belonging to a starling

I am 100% sure it was not there before because I clean that spot regularly, so its a mystery who brought it there now and why
Its so light, weights almost nothing, and well preserved. Could it be that its from a starling that died of natural causes? Hmmmm  , very puzzling.
Could be all that remained after a predator claimed it. Could be a cat kill and some other scavenger has dragged it to the place you found it.

This little fellow is really small, if you deduct his tail he is about twice the size of a starling. Starlings are always pushing him around
His other 2 siblings are a bit bigger but he is really tiny. However, he is a clever chap. I saw him eating few mealworms today, and than taking one and hiding it in one of my plants :D , bless.

That's a fantastic news

I have a brand new woodie in my garden, looking very goofy as they do and still learning how to feed :)

And starlings brought another flock of fledglings :woohoo: :dj:

I came back home late in the evening and saw something in my garden, on the ground. I went out to see what it is and saw a pile of feathers from my regular visitor GSW :weep: . S/he has been killed by something! Its so so upsetting :weep:

Its a real shame Willpar, its a GSW couple that visited every day, male and female, it might even be a fledgling that got killed, there was a lot of down and small feathers :(
