I saw my first Swifts of the year today. It's official summer has arrived. :nod: :banana:

The swifts are getting more vocal which usually means that their young have fledged. Because of the warm weather they are flying quite high so it is difficult to judge numbers.

Quiet skies around here. The screamers have disappeared on their way back to Africa. I'm always a little sad when the Swifts have gone as I know we are into the tail end of summer. :weep:

Yip, haven't heard the screamers for a few days. This is around the time they usually disappear.

Looks like the swallows have migrated. Not seen any for several days now. The ones I did see were all heading south.
