I think my Swifts have departed for their journey to Africa :( . Roll on next May when they return.
Now that you mentioned it, I don't hear swifts/swollows piercing calls any more, used to hear them all the time all summer. They must have gone on their journey to Africa indeed  . Wishing them good luck and safe travels :flying:

Haven't seen any Swifts for a few days. Can't say there are many Swallows and Martins around either.

I am just wondering if the swallows have left early this year. Not seen any for several days now.

Seen my first swallow this morning. Just the one, think they are late arriving this year.

Well spotted Willpar. According to the BTO some of them don't bother with the migration any more as the UK's winter weather is mild enough for them in the far south.

About three weeks before the Swifts return for the summer.

There were a couple of swallows all winter down Cornwall.

Good morning for spotting. Nine swallows on my walk.
