I don't know what is happening at the moment but I am inundated with Wood Pigeons. Between the feeder and the ground there can be up to ten

That is very strange. For me the opposite is true. I usually get three or four and currently there are none.

Activity by my Woodies has increased quite a lot over the last 10 days. Normally I have a couple plodding around but this has increased to 4 or 5 most of the time. They are getting quite frisky with one another which suggests nesting will start soon and I think their food source, which is the ivy berries on my back fence, is running low so hunger is driving them to look for seed dropped from the hanging feeders.

Am getting a regular four at the moment. Could be more, but only by a couple.

The record for the number of Wood Pigeons in my garden stood at 10. Last Thursday the record went up to 11. When I did the RSPB bird count on Sunday the count was 0.

I frequently get 2 or 3. The ferals outnumber them easily.
