He/she is adorable! , thank you Willpar
I am yet to see a wagtail, they don't seem to like my local car parks

Re: PIED WAGTAILS
Now that I have never seen - a waggie in a tree. Hadn't realised that previously.Willpar wrote:They prefer the car park placi, I am glad that they do as they can see the cats, plus when they get in the groove I can get quite close. But they do go in my trees sometimes. I did have two to start with, then we had a gale blow through and only the one has come back.
Bad luck on the 50% reduction, Willpar .

Re: PIED WAGTAILS
The constant wagging always makes them look constantly on edge but Willpar's visitor looks relatively relaxed.
Re: PIED WAGTAILS
Had two early this morning. One came on the wall when I called to them. The other is rather nervous. But they don't stay very long. And the starlings are gobbling up their mealworms. Even though they are getting plenty of food.
Re: PIED WAGTAILS
I still haven't spotted one single wagtail! And they are supposed to be one of the common birds
I think now you are all talking about mythological birds, that's the only explanation

Not seen mine for a couple of days now. Don't seem normal to me, as they are usually here like clockwork once the season gets started. Early days I suppose, but just don't feel right.
Re: PIED WAGTAILS
Had one come in this morning, butterfly. Had a few mealworms and then left, never came back the rest of the day.
Re: PIED WAGTAILS
I was in our local town centre Christmas market, very busy indeed, when I saw a bird flying above and landing on one tall building. It caught my eye because it was quite dark already, past 4pm. Than I saw that unmistakable tail wagging and realised it was a pied wagtail , few of them in fact . Its a first time that I see them, so it made my day
Re: PIED WAGTAILS
Well spotted butterfly, I see them down my local shopping centre. I reckon where there are people there will be food. Crumbs dropped by people eating on the move.
I had two come in today. Left it a bit late but they had some nice mealworms. They never ventured far and made a few trips into the car park.
