The peanut butter in the jar was finished off at the weekend - lots of mouse droppings in the empty jar - compliments to the chef, no doubt
As I didn't have another one I filled a jar I'd kept with most of one of the softer fat blocks - not quite the same but it's being eaten

Hey nuthatch. I have ordered the variety pack from cj. 3 quid off so paid a little over 9 quid. Not bad for 5 jars. I see they are doing their own now, not peanut butter but fat/suet. But boy are they expensive. 2;75 a jar, gets cheaper if you buy lots of jars.

My home made ones went down a treat greenfinch last spring. I used lard and just mixed allsorts with it. No cheese though. Starlings were emptying a jar a day feeding young.

Oh that's good, Willpar - I did look at theirs and deliberated about getting the 'Flutter Butter', which at JJ is £13.40 for 6 but I just got 3 for £7.10. It's £2.49 for one 330g jar there.
Edit - 12.37: Oh I see C.J. do their own peanut butter jars at £2.49 each going down to £1.99 each for 10:

It's the 'Twist & Feed' that's £2.79 each:

That's what I meant nuthatch the twist and feed. Twisters on the price though. And if you look at the pic with the 4 jars on it and roll mouse on each of the names. One says mealworm. The other three are foreign. So where do they make them.
