Re: SWIFTS, SWALLOWS AND HOUSE MARTINS
A bit late this time around. Last year my first sighting was April 1st.

Saw first two Swallows yesterday. Bit later than normal. Usually appear at the harbour early April and come into the village a couple of week later. They may have been here as normal and I just haven't seen them with the 'lockdown'.

I saw my first Swifts today. I gained the impression they were making their way further north and "my" Swifts may be a day or two yet.

Good spot jacksparrow. Not seen any myself yet, or even a house martin.

Today "my" Swifts were very much in attendance. A few were about during the morning but the full compliment were screaming around the skies this afternoon. A sure sign summer is nearly upon us even if the weather is going to try and spoil the party this weekend.

Swallows, Swifts and Martins are all here. Numbers appear down from previous years.

I read somewhere that a good many may have perished trying to cross the Med where they encountered adverse weather conditions
