Re: WHAT I DIDN'T SEE TODAY
Apart from the influx of fledgling Starlings over the last week I have seen very few other fledglings. There have been a couple of Blackbirds and what I think was a Greenfinch and the Jackdaws

Same here, but will be looking at the clips from the cameras on Thursday.
Re: WHAT I DIDN'T SEE TODAY
Not seen by me but reported in Devon birds yesterday. Three parakeets seen over the way. Just around a few hundred yards from where I live.

They may like the Devon weather and decide to stay. I'm looking forward to your video of them.
Re: WHAT I DIDN'T SEE TODAY
I believe great/blue tits had a bad breeding season because of the rain this year (at least that's what I read somewhere) so I don't know if that's something to do with lack of them in my garden. I can't remember when was the last time I saw one in my garden

Re: WHAT I DIDN'T SEE TODAY
They rely on the caterpillar boom in the spring, so if that is weather affected their breeding success is limited. We all remember the rainy spring(and summer). I only see the Great and Blues in one and twos and that has not changed.Butterfly wrote: ↑Tue Nov 19, 2024 11:23 amI believe great/blue tits had a bad breeding season because of the rain this year (at least that's what I read somewhere) so I don't know if that's something to do with lack of them in my garden. Re: WHAT I DIDN'T SEE TODAY
A very windy and rainy day and I have seen very little wild life. I don't blame them as I could have stayed in bed and missed nothing.
Re: WHAT I DIDN'T SEE TODAY
Had a good show of birds first thing in the morning as to me it was more windy in the afternoon.
