Have had chicks in July/August changing into their adult plumage. Usually starts on the wings first

Most of my Goldfinches seem to have disappeared over the last week. I'm hoping they're just finding better natural food elsewhere or hiding during the moult.

Had one here on the bird bath. Was either a moulting adult or a fledgling.

My goldfinches have had a late brood. Over the last week I have seen several fledglings including some being fed by a parent.

Have plenty Goldfinches and as much as seven young one at a time. Not sure if they are from one brood or several.

I am currently enjoying more Goldfinches than ever at present. Many of them are youngsters. The sunflower hearts are in heavy demand.
