It comes earlier each year

A good idea for a thread. A couple of us have made comments in other threads about flowers appearing and in my case Bluebell leaves shoving through.

I can relate to that I always recorded Hawthorn flowers and they kept telling me it was Blackthorn??

same with Rose hip was i sure i gave up .

Blue Tits and Great Tits have been investigating the nesting boxes. The Collared Doves have been a cootin' and this site won't allow me to say what the Woodpigeons have been doing .....

Just found a Peacock Butterfly in the shed. It was on the underside of a sheet of plywood. It was exercising its wings, so I put it back carefully.
I wonder how long it will be before it ventures out?

I noticed Dog Violets in flower today in my front lawn. Always a good sign.

The Peacocks gone back to sleep - so perhaps he wont be going out just yet !

I have noticed that the tips of my Bluebell leaves have started pushing through. Nothing like making an early start.
