The covid lockdown has given Mrs JS and myself the opportunity to do the same walk on a weekly basis. When we started there were hardly any leaves on the trees and bushes nor any blossom. All this has happened over the last 6 months and now we are seeing the resulting fruits. It is clear that this year has been a very good years for the fruits of the hedgerows. Dog rose hips and blackthorn haws for a big part of the hedgerow colour and the outlook for the birds that enjoy them in the cold winter months is very good.
