This is my two-fruit cherry. Leaves suddenly falling fast - looked so lovely in today's sun.

Must have been meant
The men came toady to cut the lawns and blew all the leaves away, gathered them up into a big sack and took them away :(. Still, plenty more where they came from :).

Actually, when you think about it - must be soul-destroying to gather up 25% of a tree's leaves and know that right above you the majority still remain :dunce:

Very picturesque Placi.
Your "men" are not alone being frustrated by a seemingly continuous shower of leaves at this time of year. I have not only my own to contend with but those from the roadside trees in my vicinity plus my neighbours which conveniently(for him) drop over my side of our adjoining fence :( Fortunately at present we are having no autumn gales to blow them hither and thither making clearing them up a little less tedious. :tree: :windy: :sadbanana:

Thanx folkz :)
Agree with Jacksparrow - wonderful sustained colours this year because of the lack of wind to denude the trees all in one go. Beautiful autumn

Didn't know where to post this photo of the sun rising this morning, only reason for posting is the pigeon on the right hand side landing in the bush, not a great pic .

Oh my god :hyper: I think it's a brilliant pic, j0nh - love it

A lot of leaves from the horse chestnut tree came down one morning after the first frost and completely covered a parked car below - looked quite funny.

They made the path slippery later though.

Due to commitments I spent very little time at home today but I did find myself travelling the highways and byways of my home county. The hedgerows are turning a very vibrant green accompanied by the white blossom from Blackthorn and the like. I love this time of year and even with the heavy traffic it was great to be out and about. The main spring flowers are yet to show and it is something I look forward. Spring...........bring it on! :)
