It appears that the four legged tadpole was just one of a good number. I went out to the pond about 10 am and they were everywhere
I will post a photo soon.

Just over a week later and there are no froglets or tadpoles to be seen. I have seen the Blackbirds peering into the pond but I've not seen one catch anything.

I spent a little time by the pond today and there are still a few tadpoles/froglets to be seen. As the photos show they are in the final stages of becoming frogs.

The newly emerged froglets are most likely to be the sandy colour but occasionally darker ones appear. The Common Frog comes in a wide range of colour variations and this can be carried through the spawn and tadpoles.
