A small white fluttered through my back garden this afternoon. The first butterfly for several weeks.

Seen my first butterfly of the year today, a peacock.

Butterflies are emerging more now. Seen so far, peacock, ringlet, speckled brown, orange tip, small tortoiseshell.

My first holly blue today, and there were two of them, but never landed. Plus a red admiral and what was either a large tortoiseshell or a painted lady. Was rather faded.

I am seeing Holly Blues most days along with Orange tips.
