Seen my first lizard of the new season this morning. Minus a good part of it`s tail. And it is not even sunny.
If the forecast cold weather arrives it'll disappear for another couple of weeks.

I was absolutely gobsmacked to have a deer in my garden today. It was a Roe deer. I have no idea where it came from or how it got into the garden. It became rather panicked and was rushing about the back garden. It then suddenly made a dash up the side of the house and out down the drive and crossed a very busy road to go up a cul-de-sac opposite.

Great sight to see. Have seen them near here in the paying fields.

I saw a butterfly today. I couldn't get an ID. It was dark in colour so was probably a Red Admiral or a Small Tortoiseshell as both hibernate in the winter in their adult form.

Good spot JS, have not seen any here yet, even on the very few sunny days had here so far.

I found some Roe Deer droppings in the front garden today. I must have visited overnight as there weren't any when I mowed the lawn yesterday.
