I was tidying up the garden this afternoon and decided rather than keep walking to and fro to the garden waste wheelie bin I would take the bin to the rubbish. I carefully pulled the bin out from where I keep it between the fortnightly collections as there is often a frog underneath. Today there was no frog but there was a mouse nest complete with babies  There were all pink and hairless and obviously very young as the last time I moved the bin was about 10 days ago and they was no sign of a nest then. :shake:
PS Photos to follow

Empty nest today. All the babies gone. I did wonder whether the mother would shift them once the nest had been discovered. I had made arrangements to cover the nest with another wheelie bin while the brown one was out for rubbish collection but there was no need.

Unfortunately my photo doesn't give much clue to the size of the babies. I said at the start that the nest was under a wheelie bin so whoever the parent is has to be able to limbo underneath it. Mouse was a guess but I think not far out.

The garden has now fallen very quiet but I did get a visit from the Squirrel which likes to feast on the sunflower hearts. :squirrel: :sadbanana:

Getting more quiet here also. Not so many starling visits. But the sparrows keep coming.

Seen my first lizard of the new season this morning. Minus a good part of it`s tail. And it is not even sunny.
