I disturbed a large Dragonfly in the garden this afternoon. Unfortunately it didn't hand around long enough for me to get an ID. :dragonfly: :)

The hot weather seems to have woken up the Dragon/Damselflies. I only looked briefly and there was an Azure Damselfly and a Red Darter Dragonfly zooming around by the ponds.

Seen my first dragonfly of the season this morning. It was a broad bodied chaser. Had to look it up. Think it was a male if the males are yellow. Females seem to be purple.
