DRAGONFLIES
Today I had a visit from a female Southern Hawker who seemed to trying to lay eggs but not very expertly as most of the efforts were well out of the water.
Re: DRAGONFLIES

Re: DRAGONFLIES
Excellent and well spotted Willpar.
That is a Golden-ringed Dragonfly. It is not one that frequents my part of the country so I had to look it up.
Quite coincidently I had my first D/fly sighting of the season in my garden today. A Southern Hawker came for a nose around. Sadly my camera was elsewhere

That's a belter!
If I get the chance I'm going to check some of my dragon haunts at the weekend.

She was little camera shy and this was the best I could do.
