My first Brimstone of the season came flapping through today.
Still waiting for the first Orange Tip so I can tell Springwatch

I saw 2 today (but then I haven't really been out in my garden this year). A yellow one and a brown speckled one. No idea what they were, apart from in a hurry to be elsewhere
We were tidying the garage and I swear we woke the brown one up as it seemed to fly from a box we opened by the garage door.

A waarm day today and a good one for Spring Butterflies. 2 Peacocks, 2 Brimstones, 2 Orange Tips

and a solitary Small Tortoiseshell.
