I'm not a Bee person but one of the johns puts up photos of insects and seems to know their names so we may have to wait for him to clock on.

During the period that the Rowan was in bloom I had a good number of Bumble Bees but now they seem to have deserted me. My Field Scabius are flowering well and to date have only seen one BB enjoying the nectar. Scabius are usually a big draw for BBs but either there is a better offer elsewhere or BB numbers have taken a dive.

The warmer weather brought out the bees again today. My Ivy blossom was getting plenty on interest from the Bumblebees.

I had a Honey Bee on my Winter Pansies yesterday. Also had a good sized Bumblebee. I zoomed past me too quickly to see which species.

Very pleased

. Just shows what's waiting to come out as soon as the sun shines and the temp. rises to reasonable levels.
