I've had a hoggie visitor.
He sneaked in the night before last, not triggering the camera, but I could see the food had been eaten, so I put some more out last night and rather than walk to the back door, I looked at the webcam to see if the food had gone, and there was one there. So I did walk all the way to the next room to look out at him. He wasn't massive, but looked a reasonable size.

Hedgehog outside my front door just now. Medium size, took it in and weighed it 600gr. Must have been a last seasons juvenile. So will call it the first of this year. gave it a mark.
Last year I marked 15, of which 3 were babies. So not a bad year in all. Just two of the babes survived.

Hi Placi, they never done a survey last year. No word for this year yet. They done it for three years in a row. Probably don't need to be that often.
