All of it? or just a good cutting down?
About two or three feet left behind. It will take a while to recover but it will happen.

Re: FROGS

Frogs have started to arrive for spawning. Only a couple at present but if this mild weather continues it will ramp up quickly. :frog: :frog:

Re: TREES

The old hazel has now gone. The birds do not seem to be bothered about it's absence.

Perhaps you need to take a leaf out of farmers book. In the hedges they cut it every year.
Yes, the bloke who's doing the cutting down has already told me that :prod:

Re: TREES

I have had a hazel tree in my garden for about 30 years. I bought it as a sapling and have been trying to stop it taking over the garden ever since. It has produced masses of nuts and the catkins have ben very attractive. You have to keep it pruned but it quickly recovers and comes back even bigger ...

Just went out with a bit more food, was a hedgehog on the feeder so put the food next to it, only to be hissed at.
 I think you'll be waiting a long time for a word of thanks.

The record for the number of Wood Pigeons in my garden stood at 10. Last Thursday the record went up to 11. When I did the RSPB bird count on Sunday the count was 0.
I frequently get 2 or 3. The ferals outnumber them easily.

Re: WHAT I SAW TODAY.....

The Sprawk did a high speed fly through this morning. He was unlucky. :) It may also be a reason why I'm not seeing as many birds as I would like.
