Just went out with a bit more food, was a hedgehog on the feeder so put the food next to it, only to be hissed at.

The record for the number of Wood Pigeons in my garden stood at 10. Last Thursday the record went up to 11. When I did the RSPB bird count on Sunday the count was 0.

I frequently get 2 or 3. The ferals outnumber them easily.

The Sprawk did a high speed fly through this morning. He was unlucky. It may also be a reason why I'm not seeing as many birds as I would like.

My garden has become a lot quieter in the last 5 days. I am still getting a few birds but less than I expect at this time of year. No sign of any hog activity in my garden. I did think one had been at the food but it turned out to be a Blackbird making a mess.

Bird feeders much busier now the cooler weather has arrived Nothing exotic just more of the usual suspects.

I think "Winterwatch" gave them attention a few years ago. I believe it was down in Somerset(possibly Taunton or Bridgewater) and the trees were in the town centre.They decided it was the heat from the buildings which was attracting them.

I don't think my hog has visited for the last three nights. Is it sleep time?

My Robin was very vocal today, I think the mildish weather has got him thinking the spring has arrived already.
