The warm sunshine paid dividends today on my walk. Seen three peacock and four speckled wood. Not a bad haul.

Walking the lanes this morning and seen a bit of fluttering. Got closer when it landed. Was a peacock, and did manage to get a few seconds of video, but had its wing closed. Car came by and it flew off.

Good news Butterfly. Is the same here, but am getting a couple of rooks now looking for food. There is a rookery close by, and they are nest building.

Not heard of a virus in blackbirds JS. Will have to do a bit of digging around the net.

Found it, a mosquito born virus that affects blackbirds called Usutu. Has reached Dorset now.
