Thank you JS, i had a read up about it but says that ash and rowan are not related. But my rowan has lesions on it like it says ash has. Went out with bird food this morning, noticed that one of the limbs f the rowan had broken off in the wind. Not a large limb hick wise. First thing I had noticed after I picked it up was how light it was and completely dry inside. Had noticed that for a couple of seasons it had a bit of die back on ...

Good spot butterfly. For some reason for the past two winters they have stopped coming in the carpark here, where I would feed them.

Not seen by me but reported in Devon birds yesterday. Three parakeets seen over the way. Just around a few hundred yards from where I live.

Yes butterfly, they will take a hedgehog if they can. One trick they use is to stand behind it and not move. Then when the hedgehog starts to walk which may take a while, grab hold of it by its back leg.
