Re: BUTTERFLIES

It is now at least two weeks since I saw a butterfly in the garden. Where have they all gone?

Re: STARLINGS

I was trying to do a little work in the back garden today and the din from Sturklets in the neighbouring trees and bushes was almost unbearable. There must have been dozens of them. This of course is very good news and I'll keep on telling myself that. :dj:

Re: STARLINGS

After complaining about the lack of Sturklets recently my garden has suddenly become a hotspot for them. I think partly because of the bathing facilities but there has been an audible presence most of the time. I think I am benefitting from some late broods.

Re: Rare UK visitors

The Vulture made it onto the national news. A spectacular bird
The twitchers are heading off to try and catch a glimpse but unlike the little brown birds they try to spot this one will stand out like a sore thumb. :wow:

Re: TADPOLES

It appears that the four legged tadpole was just one of a good number. I went out to the pond about 10 am and they were everywhere  I will post a photo soon. :)

Re: WHAT I SAW TODAY.....

I had a definite sighting of a fledgling Robin. The first this year. :) That's so good to hear Jack, I haven't seen any this year, and even my adult Robin is not around much. I have no idea what happened  On another note ... while I was cleaning under the shrub where I throw some food for bi...
