This evening fledgling sparrows on the hedge. The parents nipping in the cage feeder for suet pellets to feed them. At least the food is close by i suppose.

The predator bird I saw was most likely a goshawk it was too large for a sparrow hawk. Without seeing the bird in question it is impossible to say whether it is a Sparrowhawk or it's much rarer cousin the Goshawk. Oh dear They've got a good memory too. It'll be back I expect.

My garden has been extremely busy lately, starlings fledglings are everywhere and creating mayhem as they usually do, jackdaws are around too taking suet away clearly feeding their babies, a pair of GSW are also taking suet away all the time and I saw a couple of blue tits taking a nesting material...
