Re: FROGS

I caught a glimpse of a this years froglet this afternoon. They very often find their way on to the rockery which is next to the wildlife pond and that is where I spotted it. The class of 22 tadpoles have been very reclusive so I had no idea that any of them had reached that level of maturity. :)

Re: PRUNING

Had to do a bit of heavy pruning this morning. Want to get the pyracantha the width of where i want it and there were two largish branches sticking out. Re: WHAT I SAW TODAY.....

A juvenile Great Tit on the SFH feeder. I don't get the adults very often so I was quite surprised.

Sad news at Loch of the Lowes. Following a shortage of fish delivered to the nest, the youngest chick was attacked by an older chick and eventually died. This happened the first year I started following the Ospreys. I had named that chick 'Small Fry'.
Sad news. Nature at it's worst.

Good morning for spotting. First two yellowhammers, Then a pair of whitethroats with at least three fledglings. And lastly a red legged partridge.
Great. I'm looking forward to the next "Pot Pourie"

I share your pain JS. I get lots of cats here that used to do jobs in the garden. But not lately. When they see me now they run away.
They run from me too but come back after they think I've gone to bed. :hissyfit:

Four swifts lying around where i live this morning. Don`t usually see them around here.
I am lucky enough to see them every year but I think numbers are down a little this year.

Re: CATS

In spite of the fact my garden is a long way from "cat friendly" it appears I have been chosen to be the Cat lavatory for my area. All the time I have lived here(over 30 years) I have had the occasional deposit to deal with which you have to expect in an urban area but now I'm out with the trowel cl...
