Re: BUTTERFLIES
There has been a Small Skipper flitting around my garden. I only see it when I disturb it's hiding place then I can never see it again when it settles.

Re: WHAT I SAW TODAY.....
Very entertaining. A much appreciated facility. I don't know how you keep the water so clean as my bathers quickly turn any bath into a muddy puddle.

Re: BUTTERFLIES
I saw my first Common Blue of the year today. After a good early burst of butterflies it seems to have gone quieter for now.

Re: SWIFTS, SWALLOWS AND HOUSE MARTINS
I'm sad to say I'm still waiting to see my first Swift for this year. It's not long since they were everywhere in my area. Finger crossed.

Re: WHAT ELSE I SAW TODAY
I have a juvenile grey squirrel visiting my garden. From memory the first I've ever had. I only noticed it because it's attempts to leap from branch to branch were so inept. It also believes it becomes invisible if it sits still and doesn't appear to be frightened of humans.
Re: STARLINGS
Just through my casual observations and the noise level in garden I think the Starlings have had a good breeding season.
