A very windy and rainy day and I have seen very little wild life. I don't blame them as I could have stayed in bed and missed nothing.

I had two squirrels in the garden this afternoon. For once they weren't trying to get at the hanging feeders. Todays target was the rosehips of the Dog Rose which I have never noticed before.

Went out with bird food this morning, noticed that one of the limbs f the rowan had broken off in the wind. Not a large limb hick wise. First thing I had noticed after I picked it up was how light it was and completely dry inside. Had noticed that for a couple of seasons it had a bit of die back on...

A clear sign colder weather has arrived I had a Chaffinch on the SF feeder today. I only get them in winter but their numbers have reduced in recent times.

I believe great/blue tits had a bad breeding season because of the rain this year (at least that's what I read somewhere) so I don't know if that's something to do with lack of them in my garden. Not seen by me but reported in Devon birds yesterday. Three parakeets seen over the way. Just around a few hundred yards from where I live.

They may like the Devon weather and decide to stay. I'm looking forward to your video of them.

While out today, seen a butterfly on the wing, probably a red admiral.

It's not butterfly weather around here. I think I will not see another one this year.
