Thank you JS, i had a read up about it but says that ash and rowan are not related. But my rowan has lesions on it like it says ash has. A clear sign colder weather has arrived I had a Chaffinch on the SF feeder today. I only get them in winter but their numbers have reduced in recent times.

I believe great/blue tits had a bad breeding season because of the rain this year (at least that's what I read somewhere) so I don't know if that's something to do with lack of them in my garden. Somehow a Peacock butterfly found it's way into my lounge last night. I tried to catch it but failed leaving it in the dark until this morning. My daughter finally caught it and it is now in a box to put in the garage until spring.

I had to mow my lawn today due to the mild weather. I'm hoping that was the last time for this year.
