The predator bird I saw was most likely a goshawk it was too large for a sparrow hawk. Without seeing the bird in question it is impossible to say whether it is a Sparrowhawk or it's much rarer cousin the Goshawk. My garden has been extremely busy lately, starlings fledglings are everywhere and creating mayhem as they usually do, jackdaws are around too taking suet away clearly feeding their babies, a pair of GSW are also taking suet away all the time and I saw a couple of blue tits taking a nesting material...
