Re: BUTTERFLIES

We appear to be having a butterfly summer. The recent weather has been kind and there are plenty on the wing. My visitors have been dominated by Large Whites backed up by Gatekeepers, Small Whites, Holly Blues A Common Blue and a Red Admiral.

Re: Lunch On The Fence

Interesting to see it was using the spikes on the fence to keep it's prey steady.

Re: Heron

I know a heron has visited my garden because I have seen it. To the best of my knowledge it has never got a meal. I have no fish but do have frogs and newts. The one in the video was visiting before 6 AM , if that were the case in my garden it would never be seen.

The wildlife hospital emailed me today to say the hog was starting to recover but asked me to hold off with any further enquiries for 4 weeks. :)

Definitely Wasps I would say. If you decide to let them stay you will have them until the end of September.
