Re: MAGPIES

The odd maggie saga continues  . I looked out the window the other day, and I saw the same magpie sleeping on top of the bird table, in the middle of the day, head tucked under the wing and all  https://i.imgur.com/C0NfkNg.jpg I've been seeing him around and his behaviour is really odd. He...

An update on the Forder Valley beavers here. A female was released a few months after the male.

Another update. One of the beavers got out of the enclosure and has been killed in an RTA.
Devastating :(

As the sparrowhawk flew away, starling flew to the nearest shrub and hid there. I could see its tail, but tho...

Re: BIRD FEEDING

I don't think its garden feeding that affects the balance, its destruction of habitat and food for birds and wildlife by humans.

Re: WHAT I SAW TODAY.....

Crows are not rare in my part of the south midlands but they are a rare visitor to my garden. Today was one of those days. It's prize was a sultana which I thought for a bird that size was a poor return on the energy used. :shake: I am lucky to have few crow visitors, and I noticed that myself, the...

It is unusual for a chick to leave on migration before the female but it looks like LR1 has gone.
Maybe something happened to LR1? It is very unusual indeed
