When the chicks were ringed some measurement were taken at the same time - wing measurement and weight. I assume the wing measurement is just one wing and not the full wing span.

Blue LR1 - wing 337mm
weight 1.51kg

Blue LR2 - wing 276mm
weight 1.4kg

They have two ring. BTO (British Trust for Ornithology) ring on the right led and a Blue Darvic ring on the left.

The ringing process for both birds took twenty minutes,

Keith who did the ringing installed the base of the nest 32 years ago.

Both chicks trying to re-arrange the nest. Unfortunately they both have hold of the same stick!!!

LR2 appears to have a fav roosting position for looking over the loch. Far left from cam branch stick out perfectly to be used as a viewing point. Male on it at the moment :P :P

Sounds good. Have a question for you, does DEFRA or whoever it is, stock the lock now and again with new fish?

Can't find any evidence that DEFRA stock Loch of the Lowes with fish. Pike, Perch and Brown Trout are all present in the loch however there is no fishing in or on the Loch. Probably due to the Ospreys. Link below to info.
