Captain (JJ7) on the nest alone and having a feed. Fish is a flatfish. Not sure how far Loch Arkaig is from the sea.

Don't think it was the same fish but Captain (JJ7)has just eaten probably at least half a large trout. He left it and moved away. Doddie (JJ6) nipped in and grabbed it and moved to other side of the nest to feed. Don't think I have seen Vera (JJ8) all day.

Dry so far at Loch Arkaig.

Very, very wet at Glaslyn. Nothing on the nest - all must be sheltering somewhere.

No chicks on either nest at the moment.

Looks like another wet day at Glaslyn.

Posted on wrong topic before

Loch Arkaig - chicks lying low in the nest with the mist clearing in the background.

Glaslyn - one of the chick is standing at the very edge of the nest. May not be too long before these chicks fledge. Will be interesting to see which of the first two chicks fledge first - KC2 - female or KC3 - male (hatched within a day of each other)

Nothing on the nests. Chick are spending more and more time away from the nest only coming into feed. Even then they sometime take the fish away and eat it elsewhere.

Loch Arkaig - two chick just left the nest. Not sure which male (Doddie or Captain) but the other was Vera. Didn't see the darvic rings clearly but going by the chest markings one was definitely Vera.
