Magpies having a very noisy disagreement in the top of my Hazel tree. All the other birds departed before it turned nasty.

There was something similar on the roof of the house across the street from me, 2 couples of magpies against each other. On the roof! Have waited 'til the fourth day of the 2nd Test in New Zealand to snap a pic of the indigenous wildlife and it turns out to be a sparrer!!
Thing is though, yesterday was the First Day of Summer in N.Z. and this is (obviously) a half-fledged wee speug. Not spectacular but a quirky slant on things down under.
